Welcome to Women's Studies!
Women's studies is an interdisciplinary field of research and teaching that places gender and women at the center of inquiry.
Central to our consideration of gender are the ways class, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, age, and ability shape the human experience. Women's studies at WSU is at the forefront of developing LGBT/queer studies in the Inland Northwest.
Fascinating and Relevant
Women's studies raises questions about gender as a socially and culturally constructed phenomenon that affects personal and community access to resources, artistic expression, work, social relationships, institutional structures, and the production of knowledge.
Preparing to Lead
Women's studies students want to make a difference in the world.
Your personal goals and intellectual development are important to us, and we prize our ability to give each of our students individual attention.
