Undergraduate Scholarships

The Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service is pleased to announce the availability of up to 9 undergraduate student scholarships for 2007–2008.

Academic excellence and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a public service sector career, broadly defined, will be the primary criteria used in selecting scholarship recipients.

Scholarships are available to junior- and senior-level students and will be in the amount of $1,000. Students in all majors are encouraged to apply. Preference may be given to students who have not previously received a Foley scholarship.

The Scholarship/Fellowship Committee of the Thomas S. Foley Institute will make decisions on scholarship awards.

Applications may be downloaded off this Web site or obtained from the Foley Institute, 401 Johnson Tower.

Completed applications must be returned to the Foley Institute, 401 Johnson Tower, on or before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007. If you have any questions please call or e-mail the Foley Institute Coordinator, Richard Elgar, at relgar@wsu.edu or 509-335-3477.

The Foley Institute was established at Washington State University in 1995 to foster civic education, public service, and public policy research in a nonpartisan, cross-disciplinary setting.
