Graduate Fellowships
The Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service
is pleased to announce the availability of up to 11 graduate student
fellowships for 2007–2008. These fellowships are available owing
to the generous gifts of Scott and Betty Lukins, the Burlington
Northern Santa Fe Foundation, and Alice O. Rice.
These fellowships each carry a $1,000 stipend and the opportunity to be involved in the programmatic activities of the Foley Institute. All full-time graduate students in good standing at Washington State University are eligible. Preference may be given to students who have not previously received a Foley fellowship.
Academic excellence and a research agenda that addresses some public policy issue or problem, broadly defined, will be the primary criteria used in selecting fellowship recipients.
The Scholarship/Fellowship Committee of the Thomas S. Foley Institute will make decisions on fellowship awards.
Applications may be downloaded from this Web site or obtained from the Foley Institute, 401 Johnson Tower.
Completed applications must be returned to the Foley Institute,
401 Johnson Tower, on or before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007. If you have any questions please call or e-mail the Foley Institute Coordinator, Richard Elgar, at relgar@wsu.edu or 509-335-3477.
The Foley Institute was established at Washington State University in 1995 to foster civic education, public service, and public policy research in a nonpartisan, cross-disciplinary setting.
