"The 'Mystery' of Poe's Death Solved?"


Had John Evangelist Walsh offered Midnight Dreary: The Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe as straightforward detective fiction, with Poe as central figure, it would be more helpful than it is. Walsh's expression is in spots confusing, and his documentaton is not user friendly, thus the book does not convincingly present its subject.
