Carol Ivory

Associate Dean for Curriculum & Instruction

Dr. Ivory is professor and former chair of fine arts. As associate dean, she:

  • Coordinates curriculum development and assessment with assistance from the College Curriculum Committee.
    • Coordinates liaison for teacher preparation.
    • Approves summer session submissions.
    • Works with the provost's office to ensure course demands are met.
    • Acts on student petitions and complaints.
  • Coordinates faculty recognition programs such as distinguished professors and authors' recognition selection.
  • Participates with other college staff in the advancement of events important to the college, including those in the "CLA Season" and those for which external corporate and/or foundation support is possible.
  • Participates in meetings (college leadership, chairs/directors, dean's staff, and committees) as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with the other associate deans and dean in authoring promotion, tenure, and third-year review statements.
  • Advances the college's commitment to diversity and multiculturalism in all activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the dean.
